Caroline is J H's cousin and daughter of Major Watson of Congleton
His obituary tells us that John Horatio was elected MP for Stockport in 1834. He is also well remembered as the standing counsel to nearly every Railway Company in Great Britain. He was also elected as a fellow of Brazenose College.
The London City press of 1 Sep 1871 shows that John Horatio of Inner Temple was a Trustee of the Alexandra Palace and Muswell Hill Estate Tontine.
In 1860 he was nominated as an Associate of the Institute of Civil Engineers because of his close work with the railways
